I didn’t think I could admire the Ninja Turtles any more than I already did.
…and then they started eating hummus and drinking Diet Pepsi.
I don’t want to be one of those “OMG MY CHILDHOOD WUZ BETTER THAN YOURZ” peopIe, but I really do miss when even mundane products like coloring books were covered in beautiful original illustrations.
Today companies seem to make a batch of promo art for a license and use that on all the products. It does create brand unity (and I’m sure it saves time and money), but it has a lot less character and warmth.
